July 4th

We had a fun but quiet (until fireworks) 4th. Eliza was off with the Hobbs G'parents for a family reunion (camping). We went up for one evening, but couldn't stay because James had to work the 4th and 5th. So we left Eliza to camp and swim her heart out while we brought the other 3 home. James headed to work the morning of the 4th while the kids and I had a slow and quiet morning. It really was quiet. It's amazing what a difference having just one less person does (especially when that person is one of two that picks on another). Then we went to have an early dinner at my parents. The kids (Ava in particular) had fun playing with the Davis cousins, who were heading out to see Hanna Montana at Stadium of Fire. I promised Ian we would do fireworks in the street, so we had to get some on the way home. He/we had a great time with our neighbors setting out each firework (don't worry, the kids were not allowed to light them) and watching the show.
