Last week we went to The Festival of Trees. Eliza's class donated a tree. The kids helped make the ornaments, and we all donated things to go under the tree. She was very excited to see the finished tree. There were a lot of trees, and a lot of people. I was hoping that a week night wouldn't be too bad. No such luck. There was a gingerbread house display, wreaths, and of course Santa (who was not the REAL Santa, Ian told me). We had a good time kicking off the Christmas Season. All the trees are donated, and then auctioned off. All the proceeds go to Primary Children's Hospital. Many (if not all) are donated in honor of a loved one who has died, or who recovered from a serious illness, many of them babies and children. It made me VERY thankful that our children are so healthy. You can see a few more pictures here.

That's so great! I'm sure Eliza's ornament was beautiful since she's such a good artist.
You are a brave soul to take four kids. Looks like it was fun. I'm sure it was fun for Eliza to find her tree.
It sounds like a great time for a wonderful cause!
