Yesterday was Eliza's last day of school. She told me she didn't want to leave for summer vacation, she wanted to stay in first grade with her teacher. It was an extra hard day leaving because her teacher is moving to California, so Eliza won't even be able to stop in and see her next year. Mrs. Ostler has been a wonderful teacher. We will really miss her.

After school (which was only an hour and 1/2) we went to a "water" party at the cousins house. It was fun in the sun, but now Eliza is paying for it with a bad sunburn. Her aunt helped put on sunscreen (50), but missed some spots, particularly her upper legs which were covered by her shorts at the time of smearing. I think we've been thrown into Summer Vacation!

yeah for summer. my kids have 3 more full weeks of school and it's torture - for them and me. it just feels like summer!
Ow! Eliza inherited your porcelain skin. Hard to keep kids lathered up, isn't it? Hope she's feeling okay.
Cute short hair cut. Can't wait to see you soon. Our kids still have 2 weeks too.
